Meet Keem Hughley, a dynamic culinary trailblazer hailing from the vibrant heart of Washington, D.C. With an innate passion for hospitality, Keem's journey began as a young visionary, channeling his creative spirit and authentic Washingtonian roots into the culinary world. Emerging from the pulsating rhythm of DC's Go-Go culture, Keem's ambition took shape early on, as he crafted inviting spaces that resonated with his peers. His innovative contributions not only transformed the social landscape but also etched an indelible mark in the city's cultural tapestry.

In 2016, Keem's path led him to a new chapter of joining Chef Erik Bruner-Yang's groundbreaking group Foreign National. Which was home to projects such as the LINE Hotel (home to Brothers And Sisters, Spoken English), Maketto, and ABC Pony. This role propelled Keem into the heart of culinary excellence, where he honed his skills while collaborating with visionaries who shared his passion for innovation.

However, Keem's journey was far from over. Driven by a relentless desire to reshape the hospitality landscape, he embarked on a remarkable venture, birthing "Bronze" – an unparalleled culinary experience steeped in the rich narratives of Afro-Futurism. As the world's first Afro-Futurist restaurant, Bronze transcends traditional dining, inviting patrons to embark on a sensory odyssey that fuses exquisite flavors with visionary storytelling. Since its debut in late 2022, Bronze has emerged as a beacon of culinary ingenuity, capturing the hearts and palates of enthusiasts worldwide. Keem was recently nominated by the James Beard Foundation as a semifinalist for Best Chef Mid-Atlantic.
