GRAMMY Award winning Producer & Founder of Balletics and The Swan Within
Meredith Harper Houston is a Southern California-based professional athlete, professional dancer, community leader, GRAMMY Award winning producer and visionary. Meredith is the founder of two programs: Balletics, a program designed for professional athletes as well as incarcerated men that utilizes ballet for optimum athleticism, and The Swan Within, a non-profit that transforms the lives of underage girls who have been victims of and survived commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) and who continue to suffer through juvenile incarceration. Meredith founded The Swan Within to create “a safe space for girls who have been abused so they can have full agency over their bodies”. Informed by her own transformative ballet journey out of the trauma caused by abuse, Meredith created this ballet- based curriculum to combine scholarship and mentorship for incarcerated juvenile girls. Meredith has been widely recognized for her leadership, including receiving the Pioneer Woman of the Year Award from the City of Los Angeles and the State of California. In June 2024, the Ballet program proudly support incarcerated transitional-age men aged 18 to 25 in Los Angeles County, in partnership with the Anti-Recidivism Coalition.
A dancer since the age of four, she began studying at the Joanne Reagan Dance Studio, before performing with the Philadelphia Dance Company, studying with Judith Jameson at the University of the Arts Summer Intensive, and ultimately joining the Alvin Ailey Studios in New York. During her seventeen years as a choreographer and music producer, she has worked with Panic! at the Disco, television programs such as Saturday Night Live! and the MTV Music Video Awards, The Apollo Theater in New York, Alicia Keys, Dave Chapelle, and Chris Rock.
Meredith currently lives in Los Angeles.
